Case 36 Philip Folleys House

Maysville Private Residence
Follow up Investigation
June 12th 2010

On this second Investigation, we tried to recreate the evidence from the first time we visited this historical location.

Weather: mid 80’s
Wind: NNE 5 to 10 mph
Humidity 58%

Scattered Thundershowers late in the evening with some light drizzle overnight.

We arrived at this location around 7pm and met with the resident. After letting, the new members listen to his wonderful story and history of his family as well the Underground Railroad and how this location was tied to it. We began our first phase of the investigation.

Joined by Tommy Myers of Paratruth, we conducted a walk through / Home inspection. After collecting data of the home and reviewing the information, we began our set up of equipment in specific areas of concern. Dividing the team into groups to conduct some experiments with lasers and mirrors, trigger methods such as period style music that the slaves from the past would relate too, charging an area with negative Ion generators, etc. After a long and humid night, we wrapped up around 3 am. However, during the course of the investigation I like to have everyone come together and review on spot what they have on there audio and video... as well review any odd occurrences during the evening. At one point as Shannon Weyer, Paul Santos, Tracey Sharp and I sat in a small room on the second floor we continued to hear what appeared to be knocking from the room next to us. After listening to this for a solid 20 minutes, I chased down the knocking sound from the other room to only find, that the roof had a small slow leak and the drops hitting the large plastic container on the floor gave that sound of a knock. There were several personal experiences and one experience that stand out to the entire team and me. While conducting an experiment and an audio session four of us were on the second floor, than one of the bedrooms doors slammed extremely hard... Now remind you that this is a very old mansion built in the 1800’s with extremely heavy oak doors and is being renovated. All windows were closed. Therefore, after trying to figure out what slammed the door, we had no reason for it... However, we did capture a few EVP’s that were interesting
